Went for a walk Saturday morning 6-26-10, What a beautiful sunrise.
The phrase "Shekinah Glory"seemed
to jump into my head. This Jewish
phrase means the physical Dwelling of the Lord in this world, such as
in the Holy of holies in the tabernacle
or in the Temple in Jerusalem .
and then left after the conquest by
the Babylonians, (see Ezekiel 11:22-25) So how can the Shekinah Glory
be in this world now. Because the
temple is in this world now. If we
have received Christ in our hearts,
we have also received the Holy Spirit
also, who lives in our hearts, which
has been made the temple of the Lord. As I view all these wonderful
pictures of sunrises and sunsets from all over the world, I realize that those
who are Christians, no matter where
in the world we live, are all brothers
and sisters together in the Love of
Christ, all showing Gods presence
in thisworld through Him, all the same,
equal with each other in his Love.
Yes, all who believe in Him are the "Shekinah Glory" of today.
May God bless you all!

19Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.
Colossians 3:10-12
10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
12Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.
Galatians 3:27-29
27for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Morning Glory
Another beautiful sunrise enjoyed from Beacon Heights yesterday morning. Always enjoy seeing clouds on the horizon as I make my way to my chosen location, and this morning was not disappointed…

Onundarfjordur,
Iceland
This location is in the West Fjords of Iceland , home to some of the most dramatic mountain scenery in the country. As stunning as the scenery is, the light in summer and the direction it travels is something we do not experience back home in Australia. The sunset is almost horizontal and hence the light seems to be cast horizontally on the mountains as seen at the base of the mountains on the right. On this night, we had complete stillness for a time which had us searching for a spot near the Korpudalur youth hostel (highly recommended) to set up and take some images. For the actual sunset, we went further to the town of Flateyri at the end of the fjord.

And His glory appears

Bench Monday
I thought I'd combine Bench Monday and Memorial Day for this challenge. I did this using AI and my own photo to create the scene.
The Glory Hole on Georga Slide Road in Georgetown. The pond is 80 to 100 feet deep and is the site of what was the BB Mine.
Glory Bear: What??!!??? You go to work and stare at Snuzzles all day? Now I get it, he IS your favorite!
Me: Hush. I don't stare at Snuzzles all day. That's called a desktop picture. I change it every week or so.
Glory Bear: Will you put my picture up there?
Me: hehehehe . . . if you behave, I might!

Morning Glory bud......For beautiful Ozlem in London, with sincere thanks for her very generous testimonial. Living up to it is a whole other matter! (lol)
Thank you to each one of you who've been here so generously......explore # 108 sept 9
I have tried getting morning glories to grow along some of our fences and finally got this vine to start. It bloomed with the beautiful magenta colored flowers and brightened the mornings. The heat and dryness took a toll during the summer months and I had to remember to water regularly to keep it fresh.

glory days,
well they'll pass you by...
glory days,
in the wink of a young girl's eye,
glory days, glory days...
I have grown many varieties of morning glory from seed planted in my garden. This is the first time I have purchased seed that produces a flower that exhibits a thin edge of white on the petals. I am very happy with this cultivar. I have it growing in a large pot that supports a cast iron trellis. The foliage is lush and brilliantly green.
Looking through some images from this past Summer and I found this little gem of a Gaillardia or Blanket flower that has gone to seed, but still has some of its orange and yellow pedals and surrounded by the late day sun bouncing off the fence and other plants in the garden.
Shot using a Minolta MC Rokkor-PF 58mm f1.4 @ f1.8. This lens is just crazy in the right conditions. The bokeh can be super smooth all the way to intense and distracting at times. It really depends on the distance of the subject to background and the f-stop you are using.
For this image I actually removed some of the saturation and a wee bit of vibrance. Otherwise it was just crazy looking!
Also, I've been playing around with a signature for my images. I know some like it and some don't. I'm interested in what you think of it.

The scale of Nature's beauty is astounding to me. From the smallest detail to magnificence of the Heavens, the Glory of God can be seen. Gratitude and great enjoyment come as we deeply look and truly see the Hand of God.
More morning bliss. I have made so many of these and I have as many "out-takes" as I do published versions. Here's one I haven't shared previously.
Its the Yellowstone Lake. I tried to get the glare out of it, but couldn't.. But liked it more because of the actual scenery as I could see snow, mist, sun rays and thick dark clouds altogether..
Thank U all my friends :D

I was given this Gloriosa Rothschildiana by a friend, to photograph.
Also known as Climbing Lily and Flame Lily, the Gloriosa Rothschildiana is probably best known as the Glory Lily.
This aptly named flower is strange and exotic looking, boasting 4-5 inch blooms with wavy-edged petals that face downwards in bud, but grow to reflex backwards, as though blown back by a strong wind.
Ruby red petals with yellow bases and edges look as though these flowers are on fire.
The bright green stamens and pistil are extremely prominent, with trailing sturdy stems and lush green leaves tipped with tendrils to aid in climbing.
As a native of South Africa, the Glory Lily grows fast-growing vines and can climb up to 8ft on a fence or trellis in warm weather.
Wishing you a beautiful day and as always, thanks for visiting, Magda (*_*)
