FUSE was an internationally renowned platform for experimental design and typography. it was both a conference and a periodical font/poster release.
Each issue of Fuse brought together four designers or typographers and commissioning each to create an experimental typeface along with a poster based upon a central theme.
The first edition of Fuse was produced by FontShop International in 1991. It is now exclusively produced by Research Publishing, a sister company of Research Studios. Plans for a retrospective book and future conferences are underway.

A hint of a star in gray weather.
Image detail from a photo taken last winter. My first origami star, not yet folded so perfectly. In the meantime I have a little more experience of folding. I'm curious to see what I'll find in the Christmas boxes in the attic. But first I have to clean the windows...

The fuse cutout they installed. The grey tube is the actual fuse, the ring lets them operate it with a hook pole. The original tap on the main circuit for the branch line was on the right of the insulator.

Zvika Bar of Pink2Orange makes alot of cool stuff, although not all of it is recycled. His fused plastic bags used for making shopping bags, clocks, aprons, and more, are especially distinct, and can inspire us to make our own holiday gifts. You can find a tutorial on fusing plastic bags here.
