I struggled with this theme as electronic components just give me an immediate stuffy feeling. I was scratching my head and ready to throw in the towel until I popped the hood of my car (surroundings that are more comfortable). As soon as I opened the fuse panel I knew that little chartreuse 20 amp fuse was going to be my centerpiece. Its color was almost fluorescent in the muted morning light I had to work with, and it played nicely with the blue and black surrounding.

some graffitti on a rustic (or is that rust-ing!)rural roadside shed in the Tweed Valley Way on the edge of the sugarcane fields.

Annoyingly the only place I could find a 1.5A glass fuse was in an old DC power supply... which I planned to use to make the fuse wire glow! I will find another 1.5A fuse the right size and revisit.

I needed more DOF as the top is way out, but ran out of time and batteries in the speedlight were flat.

I had to fix a fuse yesterday. The lights had gone *ping*.

Old type protector, still in use.

I got fussed at for not posting pictures of WIP's recently, so here ya go. A little something different for me.

Now I have to go put bails on them. (Oops, I said "bail" so now Michelle is trying to figure out how to email me some xanax before I start my daily stress and rant on finding the perfect non-silver-plated solution for quick and easy and elegant bails that don't cost a fortune or take 2 days to make.)

The coffee maker gave up. It was late in the evening and I really needed my coffee. Luckily for me, my brother was nearby. He quickly identified the problem, the thermal fuse had blown. So he removed the fuse and half an hour later I was sipping my coffee again.
