This afternoon the kids and I went to target to get a little pool to have for the summer. We set it up in the backyard and put their slide into it. They had an absolute blast sliding down that thing. I set out to get some portraits of the kids together and then Madison wanted one all by herself. She was getting quite upset her brother wouldn't get out of the picture. This is more of an outtake but I decided to use it because it has more story to it and I will remember this longer than any regular portrait I could take of them anytime.

I spent a day at the lake last week , when the smoke from the Interior forest fires blanketed the Island. Although there was a thick haze everywhere, it was still blistering hot, so everyone that was fortunate enough to be on the water enjoyed it to the max. When not floating around in my pool noodle easy chair I enjoyed the differences in colour and light created by the smoke. Instead of shades of blue, there were shades of white, grey and amber. At first I did this one in sepia, and almost posted that. Decided this softer version was more appealing. But I think I'll post the other version underneath, so feel free to let me know your favorite. Hope you're getting opportunities to spend some time by and in the water, my friends! I love summer!!!

Visitors can hire a wooden row boat and take a leisurely journey down the River Stour and explore John Constable country!!
