Only a 5 minute drive from Newton Stewart and a short walk through Woodland is this beautiful wee loch. And how spring like it felt in the sunshine.

“ When I die I may not go to heaven.
I don't know if they let oil men in.
If they don't, just let me go to Texas, Lord!
Texas is as close as I've been.”

Skull of Domestic Goat, Capra aegagrus hircus, collected near a swimming hole on Rio Blanco in Central Texas, many decades ago—before my middle-aged children were born—as we disembarked from the bus on a geology field trip. I was first off, got the best trophy, celebrated with a refreshing swim in the narrow limestone canyon cut by the river, last one up the hill for lunch. It was a very good day.
Taken for the #FlickrFriday #FunInTheSun theme.

This was our resort, the view from the Jetty bar. I am sorry for posting so many photos and not commenting on yours, I am trying to get a bunch of them up here so I can show my family on Easter. I plan to comment a little tonight and tomorrow for sure!

A short trip to Foots Cray meadows in the London borough of Bexley, transported me back to my childhood, where the summer's were long & never ending.
The sun came out just long enough for me to have some fun.

Hello everyone! I got back from Jamaica at about 3:00 a.m., our flight was delayed twice so we got to spend another day there. This was the spot that I spent most of my time, this is the view off of the Jetty bar...such a glorious place and such friendly people!
Here is a link to UpNort's Jamaica photos...we will be posting a lot!
Visiting a friend in Hopkinton MA last summer. Wish I could say this was mine, but unfortunately it's not.

Thank you and warm regards, Jane
This picture obviously wasn't taken by me because it is of me. With all my 57 years of wisdom I still haven't figured out how to be two places at once. I wait all year for this moment and it just gets more fun each time. I don't want to divulge the exact location but people who visit my photostream and know me probably can guess where it might be. You're not supposed to do this here but the temptation is just too great. I think perhaps I might have some authority issues, probably a carry over from my hippie days in the dear, dead '60s.
