This was actually an attempt to do something straight and organized and planned....

Inspired by imagingermonkey, who does a giant project with 2,5 inch squares - when I cut a batch ofsquares for her in april, i wanted some for myself, too.... and started cutting again. Not really sure what for - but well, squares a good! Organized and all! Lots of little squares, all the same size!

Hey, I actually MEASURED them :-)! (If you don't know - I never measure anything.... )

And the bag was getting bigger, and so I dug them all out the other day and laid them out on the floor, and I realized how that did not work for me. Squares are good, yes, but oh, how it kind of bored me to think of them all just suared together.

So - long lines of squares, and long strips of colourful fabric. That made a lot more sense to my eye.

There will be a few more strips on the long side, so it will become a squarer piece - right now it is kind of long and narrow....

My father was in need of a new business portrait. This is the product of a black sheet and a living room!

I had a strip soft box on right: sb-28 @ 1/8th

and another strip box on left: sb-28 @ 1/16th

Simple but nice, sometimes simple is all you really need

Had fun doing a little photoshoot with Angel today in an urbex type enviroment. Turned out better than I thought considering I don't do photoshoots. I know I could probably edit this better if I spent some time on it but It was a fun experience overall!

Hope you all like! Thanks boys for the inspiration. Anybody else have any ideas for me for the next few weeks!?!?

The children painted with worms (rubber); made a squish painting to show the mirror image of what they painted; made a super cute tissue snail and an insect crayon rubbing. The children then explored several sensory stations. Magnets; rings; fidget toys; sensory bins were multi-colored rice with lizards, dinosaur skeleton dig, fresh made play dough. Other sensory tables items included gel spiders, stack wood beads on a stick, counting and picking up numerous insects, and sensory houses.

I made this igloo out of styrofoam pieces from all the boxes.

The TSS Duke of Lancaster was a railway steamer come passenger ship that operated in Europe between 1956 to 1979. But the former steamer has spent the last 30 years rusting away by the North Wales coast -

Throughout the early 80s it was used as a bar and market space called ‘The Fun Ship’ before closing down. Since then, The Duke of Lancaster’s hull has attracted graffiti artists from around the world.

Eight paintings have been added to date, including paintings by Hungarian Mr Zero, French artist GOIN and Fin DAC from Ireland.

Other artworks are the handiwork of street art collective called DuDug - a wordplay on the Welsh for black duke – who want to turn The Duke of Lancaster into an open-air gallery.

More fun with the LX3 backstage of fashion week

This is why I bought an LX3. I had all my Canon camera gear packed up in my pelican case and I was leaving through backstage. I see this 3 models and we start have a chat.

I feel like taking a quick picture before leaving ... do I make them wait whilst I unpack all my gear again for a quick snapshot ?

No, I have the LX3 hanging around the neck and here we go for a simple picture. Nothing fancy, but without my small camera I would have had NOTHING at all.
