Finally finished this fun scrap clay polymer clay necklace.
I had a pile of scrap after an experiment beck in June. I made all the beads but today sanded and slightly buffed the curved beads and put them all together.
I think it is unusual and fun.

PERSONAL FUN FACT written by my sister: This is Rob. I am at a complete loss as to why I did NOT include him while setting the My Story: Ken photo. Shelly mentioned him on that page and deservedly so. He's one of my very favorite dolls. I found him wearing a Beach Blast Ken outfit back in 2004, I believe. I remember he actually got the leading male role one time when we played with our Beach Bus. Rob usually starred as a very good friend of Chandler (1992 My First Ken) or Dennis (Palm Beach Ken). So, he was a really important background character. I mostly remember making him sing "Stovula" to...a kitchen stove. I don't know why! And, while I remember that he and Chandler both liked to cook, I don't remember whether "Stovula" was Rob's stove or Chandler's stove...Strange. Actually, "Stovula" belonged to Chandler, now I think about it. They both had a passion for cooking. Rob was singing to the stove when Chandler asked him to revive his stove in a game I played with Shelly circa 2004. (A retelling of this story on youtube let to the creation of "Dolly Tales." It was made up to Rob that he didn't get to be in the original "My Story" photo because I recreated the "Stovula" scene in photo as a thumbnail for the series intro. Rob is dressed as a witch doctor, Kevin, aka All American Ken, plays his assistant.)
Rob was misidentified for a hilariously long time. We even had him mislabeled on Flickr before (on Shelly's old account)! Because I bought him in the Beach Blast outfit (I think), I assumed that was who he was. When we went to identify our childhood dolls in 2010 or 2011, we were identifying the largest amount of dolls we've ever done in one go and we were at our least experienced in terms of doll id. So, we were grazing through the book and said, "Oh, yeah, he's who we thought he was" and wrote it down and took several years to second guess ourselves. WHY do I feel so stupid over it? Well, here's the thing: All Hawaiian fun dolls are super distinctive. They have a mark that looks like the letter Z in their eyes. Furthermore, one of our first ever Barbies, Frostin, is a Hawaiian Fun Barbie and Hawaiian Fun Skipper is one of my very favorite, and most played with dolls. You'd think we'd have made the connection...especially since we had his outfit laying around. Not to mention, I knew Rob's face because I played with him all the time. Just think, all those times we'd look at each other and say, "I really wish we had a Hawaiian Fun Ken." Ironically, we DID have a Hawaiian Fun Ken!
