Went to MAC store for a couple of items and then to Wild 4 Wigs to get a styling lesson. Bought a new short blonde wig I will be wearing soon! This full length mirror was right outside - could not resist taking a pic.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: I believe that this was the second Kitty Fun doll in my collection. I got all four of my girls in a year span...I know, crazy right?!!! It was just my luck that my childhood icon was so readily available in 2012 and 2013! I had found my used AA doll first, on opening day 2012. But a few weeks later, another regular seller showed up with this brunette lady. I recall that she was still wearing her original ensemble and cost around $2. I decided I couldn't pass up on the opportunity to get another Kitty Fun Barbie. As an adult collector, I had acquired a particular fancy for hoarding all the variants of a particular doll. It was super awesome that Mattel made three versions of this Barbie. I couldn't be sure which would be the hardest to find later, so I took every opportunity I could to get my hands on a Kitty Fun Barbie. This girl was in better shape outfit-wise than my first AA lady. It was not faded and still looked like new. The doll herself barely looked played with, although she of course got the ritualistic bath and boil wash just to spruce her up. I was a bit disappointed that I had yet to get a hold of any of Kitty Fun Barbie's accessories. But I knew that collecting all the variations of the dolls themselves would probably be hardest. Honestly of the three versions, this gal may be my least favorite. The AA Barbie is the prettiest in my opinion, and the blonde was the doll Mattel used for the commercial. However, I really can't say that she's my least favorite for sure. After all, she reminds me very much of my brunette Stylin' Pup Barbie, named Alicia, who is a personal fave!

Tournaments provided a means for knights to practice warfare and build their strength in times of peace. Tournaments were essentially mock battles with audiences. The audience was usually made up of "fair damsels". This was another way in which a knight was expected to act chivalrous. The tournaments had different rules that had to be followed. They were judged by umpires that watched for dishonest play. Tournaments were usually fought between either two people or two teams. If two people fought a tournament, it was usually by jousting. The two knights would gallop across the playing field at each other. They carried long, blunt poles and shields. The objective was to knock the other person out of his saddle. Team play was conducted with fierce mock combat between two bands of fighters. They fought with wooden or blunted weapons so as to reduce the risk of getting hurt. However, this was often not the case. Many people did get hurt or die by accident.

Démonstration de Fun Car
Le fun-car est une discipline qui se veut amicale et populaire. Il repose largement sur la participation de bénévoles pour l'organisation et l'encadrement des compétitions.
Les courses mettent en présence des véhicules de série spécialement préparés pour supporter les très nombreuses collisions survenant pendant la course. Les vitres, pare-brises, feux, accessoires et toutes autres pièces susceptibles de se détacher du véhicule où d'encombrer la piste sont retirés. Des barres anti-écrasement sont solidement installées dans l'habitacle et des grilles ou filets sont fixés à la place du pare-brise ainsi que sur la vitre du côté conducteur.
Les courses se déroulent sur une piste en forme de 8 ou en ovale dont le revêtement est constitué de terre battue.
