Estava doida pra usar um magnético! O escolhido foi esse magnético duochrome da fun lacquer. As variações de cor ficam entre verde, azul, rosa.
Se esmalte duo já é divertido pra ficar mexendo as mãos e ver o efeito de mudança de cores, este ainda adiciona o efeito magnético que torna a variação de cores e formas uma atividade paralisante, kkkk... Cuidado pra não ficar distraÃda com as unhas e esquecer da vida.
Uma camada só sobre esmalte preto. Usei ainda TC impala pra aumentar o brilho (esperei secar bem o esmalte antes de usar o TC, não achei que modificou em nada o efeito magnético).
Vocês são fãs do efeito também?

The Fun Forest next to the Space Needle at Seattle Center has indoor bumper cars and arcade games. The window was reflecting the ferris wheel and carnival rides outdoors.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Ah, Pool Fun Kelly! She will always be one of the most iconic Kelly dolls of all time to me and my sister. I still remember when this line was sold in stores. I recall vaguely seeing advertisements for them on television too. But most of all, I always think of our childhood Pool Fun Kelly looking pristine and like new, unlike most of our other dolls. The doll featured second from left of this photo is our childhood cutie! It's hard to believe that she's over twenty years old now, but that she looks exactly the same more or less as she did back in the mid 90s. Colleen purchased her with allowance money, not long after this line debuted. I'm not sure why she went for Kelly and not for say Chelsie (that's the one I would have picked). Anyways, Colleen dubbed her Telly, and that is who we've known her as for the past two decades. Colleen played with Telly on and off, and after giving all her Kelly dolls to me some years later, I also enjoyed her. But Telly was never a favorite, which might be why she was spared the brutality that our more played with dolls suffered from. Unlike Bathtime Fun Kelly who balded or Bedtime Kelly who had her hair cut, or the original Lil' Friends Chelsie doll who balded and became fiercely grubby, Telly was always a fresh faced cutie. And we somehow managed to hold onto all her stuff over the years!
It was close to twenty years later when a second Pool Fun Kelly joined our collection. She is the cutie featured on the far right of this photo, with the flattened hair. It was the beginning of the flea market season in 2015, when Colleen and I stumbled upon a box of 70s Barbies and Dawn dolls. The seller wanted a bit too much for the entire box, so we settled on hand picking out just the Barbies for I think about $10. We got another SuperStar Barbie, Kissing Barbie, our Busy Ken, and some rogue 90s dolls, like our first Splash 'n Color Ken and this second Pool Fun Kelly. They were in pretty horrendous shape--in fact, I think the 70s dolls fared better. Even though I didn't "need" this grubby duplicated Pool Fun Kelly, I just couldn't leave a poor, defenseless toddler by herself. Since her hair was so ratty, I had to boil wash it straight, instead of keeping the cute factory poof intact.
The doll on the left of this photo was a true treasure! It was during the late summer of 2017 when we found her at our local flea market. Colleen and I had been lucky that morning--first we found Share a Smile Christie boxed, and then we scored the "Bratz Blitz lot" seconds later. I saw Kelly sitting in a crumpled, damaged box on top of a container. Colleen immediately flocked to her and inquired how much she cost. I really wanted this Kelly, after all I was so very nostalgic for her, and I knew it would be so much fun opening her up. But I thought that she might cost $5 or $10, which was more than I wanted to pay (especially since Telly was still in great shape). But it turns out she only cost THREE dollars!!! So of course I had my wallet out in a split second. I can easily tell her apart from Telly because her bangs sit differently. She also has her own personality in her face (I've known Telly for close to two decades, so I'm very familiar with her). I am so glad that we rescued this Kelly doll, and I'm fairly certain she's happy to be freed from her cardboard prison after so many years!
My newest gal is the third one in this picture. She was actually a very generous gift..and in almost as nice condition as my childhood/formerly boxed dolls. This Pool Fun Kelly was the oldest doll featured in the "Fangtastic February Lot" of 2024. One Thursday morning, shortly after I came home from work, I saw the mail truck back into the driveway. I was perplexed, since I wasn't expecting any packages in the mail (it's not like I always have things being delivered). I saw the Walmart logo on the side of the box, and wondered if perhaps a neighbor's package had been delivered to the wrong address. But as soon as I saw the handwriting on the shipping slip, I knew it was a gift for me and my sister. I waited ALL day for my sister to return home from work, so we could open the box of dollies together. This Kelly may have been the oldest gal in the lot, but she fared much better than some of her newer comrades. She's a true gem, and one of my fave Kelly dolls ever produced!

We added a parasol, and this one is supposed to show me reaching down to pick it up. How I'm supposed to do it without breaking my spine, I don't know.
It was just the end of our photo shoot and while we are just going back the idea came to Ayon's mind to have such a cool shot. It was really fun to capture and make the moment memorable.
