Having came back from Kompong Luong floating village where I spent two nights, I was wandering in Krakor village market making some pictures. When I saw this incredibly beautifull woman I did not dare to make a picture of her. When I am impressed by people, having a picture is such a previlege for me that I have to take my time to ask myself if I deserve it and if I will be welcomed by my subject. Of course I took a life scenery photography from far but I really wanted a close-up portrait of her. After maybe 5 minutes admiring her looking after some stuff in a shop, I suddenly unblocked to become again myself (I am very smilling and friendly with my subjects, not shy at all). Talking some local language is essential for me to help myself feeling legitimate to ask such a request. I told her in Khmer language that I found her very beautifull and wanted to make several portraits of her. I was very happy because she was so smiling and willing to make a picture. Since the shop did not give me a neutral background and a nice indirect light, I moved her to another one just aside. But after a few pics, the fruits and vegetables were too much disturbing on the picture so I asked her to low completly down to finish the shooting and have this neutral black background. This is a very nice souvenir and the picture I prefer on this trip. Actually people are very friendly in Cambodia and making some portraits is usually welcomed after asking (verbally or physically)
