Tamale. June 17th, 2009. A plate of fufu!

Fufu, (variants of the name include foofoo, foufou, foutou), is a staple food of West and Central Africa. It is a thick paste or porridge usually made by boiling starchy root vegetables in water and pounding with a mortar and pestle until the desired consistency is reached. In the French-speaking regions of Cameroon, fufu is sometimes called couscous (couscous de Cameroun), not to be confused with the Moroccan dish couscous.

In Western Africa, fufu is usually made from cassava, yams, and sometimes combined with cocoyam, plantains, or maize. In Ghana, fufu is mostly made from boiled cassava and unripe plantain beaten together, as well as from cocoyam, and yam. Currently, these products have been made into powder/flour and can be mixed with hot water to obtain the final product hence eliminating the arduous task of beating it in a mortar with a pestle. In Central Africa, fufu is often made from cassava, as is the Liberian dumboy. Fufu can also be made from semolina, rice, or even instant potato flakes. Often, the dish is still made by traditional methods: pounding and beating the base substance in a mortar with a wooden spoon. In contexts where poverty is not an issue, or where modern appliances are readily available, a food processor may also be used.

English: Wall of 70 mts of length, inaugurated 27/sept/2011 in the Parque Rivadavia, the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Altogether the government of the City, plastic artist and Itau bank proposed to make this intervention urban.

The artists who made the wall are: Analía Damita Dynamite Regue, Luciana Bambi Rondolini, Gisela Mako Fufu Vergara, Marianela Lawife Leguizamón, Julieta Juli Sen Regazzoni and Caro Tiny Repic Soda, pertaining to the Federation of Stickboxing. This Wall is bordering with a track improvised of skaters & Bikers that uses that space to do street. The Walll is the result of which during years and years the diverse governments tried to maintain guinea fowl and clean the wall and to the days s spontaneously some grafiter that began to decorate them.

Concretely it is not the cultural action of a government, is the only solution that found him. Finally they gained the urban artist.
