Jack Erdie,Pittsburgh-based singer/songwriter, released his HOT new CD
titled "Pumpkin", last night at the Rex Theater. He's got a style
that's gritty, with a wry, slightly-sinister edge.
Great show! The Rex lighting director likes heavy gels. my 200 mm 2.8
lens held up just fine at iso 1600. The meter got triced a few
times because of the fog and black background. I found myself
over-riding the settings and under exposing when the frontlights came
on to full.

Sharing a name with Ferrari’s challenger for the 2019 Formula 1 season, the SF90 Stradale represents a massive technical achievement and commemorates the 90th anniversary of Scuderia Ferrari. Its suite of incredibly complex systems operates seamlessly to produce searing performance. At the heart of the car lies a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, a development of the code F154 engine found in the F8 Tributo and 488 Pista, with an increased cylinder bore, revised heads, and revised intake and exhaust systems. These updates result in a truly impressive output of 769 horsepower. On its own, this V-8 engine puts out a truly impressive 769 horsepower to the rear wheels, more than enough on its own to move the SF90 Stradale at a superlative pace. But Ferrari elevated the performance ceiling further with the addition of a hybrid system featuring a 7.9-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery good for another 217 horsepower. At the front, two electric motors power each wheel and allow torque-vectoring control, while an additional motor at the rear works in conjunction with the eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Altogether, the system produces 986 horsepower (1,000 cv) and allows for sub-three-second runs to 60 mph with a 211-mph top speed.
Equally impressive, the exterior is a sculptural masterpiece of aerodynamic devices, which manipulate airflow to control drag and downforce via several active elements. Inside, the thoroughly high-tech cockpit features a fully digital dashboard and touch controls. Ferrari’s characteristic drive-mode selector, in this case redubbed the “eManettino,” not only governs performance parameters as with other Ferraris, but also controls the various states of hybrid-electric operation and battery power regeneration. In short, the SF90 Stradale is a landmark Ferrari, a brilliant synergy between traditional paradigms and new advancements, the culmination of nearly a century’s worth of innovation from the famed Italian marque.
The example offered here was completed in November 2021 and delivered new to the United States finished in a stealthy color scheme featuring a Nero exterior over a black and Rosso Ferrari leather interior. As seen on the Personalization Specification plaque in the trunk, the car additionally features various optional extras, resulting in a unique and special appearance. Inside, attractive carbon-fiber inlays feature prominently throughout the driver zone, rear shelf, door panels, upper center console, and dash inserts. Contrasting beautifully with the interior’s dark motif are a red lower dashboard and contrast stitching throughout, as well as vibrant Rosso Ferrari electric seats featuring black inserts and embroidered Cavallino logos on the integrated headrests. Diamond Forged wheels with titanium stud bolts and carbon-fiber hub caps over eye-catching red brake calipers bring further visual drama to the exterior. Convenience options include a suspension-lifter and an advanced front driving camera.
The vehicle remains in remarkable condition having been driven just 872 miles, as shown on the odometer at the time of cataloguing. To help preserve the car’s immaculate state, Xpel Ultimate Plus paint protection film covers the front bumper, full hood, full fenders, lights, and mirrors. Additionally, ceramic coating has been applied to the entire vehicle body, as well as the wheel faces and barrels, while the windows feature Xpel XR ceramic 35-percent tinting. All these high-end safeguards were applied at the time of delivery, ensuring the car was fully protected from the moment it left the dealership. A set of owner’s books and charging equipment accompany the car.
The SF90 is truly a momentous achievement, a dual-personality, all-wheel-drive hybrid performance machine capable of blistering lap times or quietly skipping around town with up to 17-miles of pure electric driving, making it ideal for whatever its next caretaker has in store.

It's Scottsdale Car Week! I flew here and Fred drove with Harriet for some warmer weather, friend visits, and cars!
Intent: My goal was to bring out all the different tones and textures in the flower peddles using the light coming in from our front window.
Reference: Freeman "color has its own influences on our perception, and its multi-layered complexity".
Outcome: The background was surprisingly a lot darker than I was anticipating it to be, but It did work out better in my favor.
Edits: I increased the saturation and contrast. I also cropped the left side out because there were a few sad looking flowers that would draw your attention away from the main focus.
Still-life with 45° frontlight with reflector fill. Clamp light pointed through 20" shoot through umbrella and 40" Silver Reflector.
