My buddy, Alan, and I officially launched "Embrace Photography" today, our children's portrait endeavor, with a shoot with Christian and his mom, Nancy. It was a wonderful day to spend a little time in the park. We took much effort to find suitable locations and create pleasing compositions. There has been many a hour spent studying books on the topic. But, it was this spontaneous moment that was my favorite...one that I believe captures this lovely family perfectly.

I am having just way too much fun here. This is a collage of our friend Jasmine. I used Photoscape for the collage format and to brighten the photos (grey/blue snow problem), and Gimp for some minor editing (removing little bits of distracting debris from the snow) and for the words at the bottom since I don't know how to do those things with Photoscape yet.
