Goodbye my friend, I hope the winds have taken you to a happier place. Somewhere where the fish flicker like thousands of silver darts just below the surface, where the updrafts lift you up to places you've never been, and where the seagulls have been left behind. I'll miss watching you effortlessly drift through the sky occasionally darting to catch the small morsels of fish I threw to you...

Actually, it's just a dead bird I found on the beach. SB-26 at a fairly low angle camera left, gelled with 1/2 CTO (not that you can tell). Some photoshop levels + mask to get the shape of the light sorted out (foolish me didn't bring a snoot for the flash).
