At the time this was taken, Chris had gotten Junior just 4 days ago. A neighbor didn't want this dog around her own (afraid of mixed puppies) and offered him to Chris. Chris said he was a great companion and he didn't even have to train him. He was just a good dog.

For "Our Daily Challenge ... freshstart/new beginning"
Lachie is my newest grandson ... just 6 weeks old. He was having trouble sleeping today because it was so hot. I finally got him to sleep in the cradle which I originally made in woodwork night class for my son who is now almost 37. The cradle has also been freshened up with a new coat of paint.

We had fresh snow this morning on top of the snow from the day before. I had just let Brady out to pee (yes, I was stalking him with my camera) and he did his play-bow stretch and I knew I had a winner.

We all have great hope that 2015 will be better than 2014. Liver cancer, snapped archilles and some real bad bouts of flu have plagued the happy revellers last year. Bring it on 2015.
Each year EOP Transitional Programs offers a summer experience to help students bridge the time between high school and university. The program's goals are to give students a head start toward a successful college experience and the opportunity to begin building a strong community.

After a break from Christmas to the end of January, I am getting Fresh Start food boxes again. It's good to not have to plan my meals and to learn new recipes. This was Thai Makrut Chicken with Super Grains & Peanuts. It was supposed to havae courgette in it but, as I don't like courgette I used broccoli instead and gave the courgette to a friend.
Wednesday, 3rd February 2021.
Ingredients (serves 2)
75g supergrains
1 baby bok choy, thinly sliced
1/2 brown onion, cut in half & thinly sliced
1 carrot, cut in half & thinly sliced
1 courgette, cut in half & thinly sliced
275g diced free range chicken breast
1 tsp oil
5 grams Makrut curry powder
1/2 tsp cornflour
1/2 Tbsp yellow curry paste
100g light coconut milk
1 tsp fish sauce
1 bunch coriander, leaves separated
chopped peanuts
1. Cook supergrains in pot of boiling water for about 20 minutes. Prep bok choy and add to supergrains just before draining. Return to pot, season to taste with salt and pepper and keep warm.
2. Prep onion, carrot and courgette.
3. Heat oil in a large fry-pan on high heat. Cook chicken for 2 minutes, without stirring. Add onion, carrots and courgette. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until softened.
4. Add makrut curry powder, cornflour, curry paste and coconut milk. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 5-6 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and sauce has thickened. Add fish sauce and season to taste with salt.
5. Serve supergrains topped with chicken, peanuts and coriander.

Mind-Art-Power Projects (MAPP) seeks to give youth and other age groups critical thinking skills through engagement in the arts.
This is accomplished in a variety of ways:
After school and in -school classes
Artist- in - Baltimore residencies where artists from across the globe engage Baltimore communities in arts projects
Short term workshops offered at sites across metropolitan Baltimore
There is a long term goal of offering a community college program in maker-technology-entrepreneurship
