This stream is all fresh water coming down from the mountains and runs then into the ocean water area in West Vancouver, BC. Lots of birds like to drink from this water. In the distance can be seen the Lions Gate Bridge which connects the entire West & North Shore areas with Vancouver proper, by going through the Stanley Park roadway.
I miss this place; one day hope to see it again.
A fresh blanket of snow fell on the Susquehanna Valley yesterday morning, anywhere from 3-8" depending on your location. Trains and snow make for excellent photos, and well timed heads up about this hot intermodal leaving Harrisburg allowed me to get out the door with just minutes to spare.
The 2572, like many from this order, is showing it's Conrail heritage through the battle scars, as it gives the engineer everything it's got to pull intermodal train 23Z through a fresh blanket of snow in Newport, PA.
This EMD 710 prime mover was absolutely screaming up the main. I could hear him coming for a good 4 or 5 minutes before he showed up.

Sporting its new coat of paint, NBSR 911 pulls by the railway station in McAdam, New Brunswick, shortly after returning from St Stephen.
Up until about a month ago, this engine was still sporting its old Union Pacific Yellow.
