I was going through some photos I had taken this past summer and deleting ones I don't like but this one made the cut. I love nature photos and especially fresh green leaves and grass, even better is when they are covered with raindrops. :)
The contrast of Summer’s freshness waits quietly for summer showers. The showers bring out the richness of all the colors in our gardens. Thanks for viewing my work.
I visited the sunflower field at Lexington Community Farm today, taking advantage of a pretty sunset. The spent flowerhead will make nice treats for the chickens.
We finally got a good soaking rain overnight and it really brightened things up. Mount Timpanogos looking NE from about 800N 800E. Utah County, Utah.
Snowflake (Leucojum vernum) bud
I have never seen a Snowflake Flower Bud before. This one was fresh in Kath's garden this morning.

I almost never find a butterfly who is not damaged a little. This is a rare occurrence of finding one last week in the butterfly bush of my neighbor. She is a beauty, isn't she?
Crater Lake’s East Rim Drive received a much-needed renovation last summer. It was scheduled to be closed for the entire season (it closes every year in the winter anyway) but opened on my last day there in late September. With its opening also came access to Mt Scott, making me one of the first people all year to get this view from the summit of Crater Lake’s highest point. The view of the lake is also pretty cool from up here, but I’ve posted several of those images already. The road to the upper right leads to Cloud Cap Overlook, the highest point on the rim of the caldera and spectacular spot to watch the sunset.

Still tacky and drying, Lake State 6436 sits inside the temporary paint booth at the companies Saginaw yard.

Some snow has fallen overnight in Göhren on the island of Rügen, while wild waves from the churning Baltic Sea reach the beach. Rügen is the largest German island. It's pretty quiet here in winter. Ideal for photographers. If you're lucky, the sun shines, but otherwise the light is beautiful.
