A fresh market and winery in Michigan. I love Michigan apples, especially Macintosh. My grandfather had an apple tree in his backyard so we had plenty of fresh crisp apples. Good times.
I love this time of year where leaves such as these are all shiny and new, so beautiful and fresh. A joy to behold.
….. Another phone shot from our local walk yesterday morning in the crisp fresh snow, nice while its fresh! But it can go now thank you, I’m ready for Spring!!! This is the Church field in the village here. Alan:-)…..

Fresh air, nothing quite like it and the lichen testifies to this. There were so many clumps of lichen yesterday while we were out, it was quite a sight, the way that the lichen adorned the hazel and blackthorn bushes was beautiful.
This was one of the smaller lichens that I saw, but quite liked the contrasting colours of the mountain and sky in the background

Lavender fields below Mt. Shasta, taken fresh this morning, considering the long 5 hour drive back home to San Francisco, this may well be my quickest transfer from taking the photo to uploading it. It was taken around 9AM, 3.5 hours after sunrise, as soon as the fields opened to the public, it's unfortunately only open 9AM-5PM (4 hours before sunset)., I tried going before and after, the gate was firmly closed with a posted no trespassing sign. So the light is ALWAYS bad when the site is open. The horizon may appear tilting, but the field is on a slope. There is not much snow on Shasta this year, unfortunately it was a very dry winter in California. The blooming lavender seen here is the English variety, the green rows in the upper right quadrant are the French variety that will bloom 2 weeks later.
After a couple fresh inches of snow the night, the lack of wind allowed it to stick to the trees and made quite the wintry scene as L549 heads back south to Gladstone after picking up cars from Euclid Yard in Ishpeming.
A fresh landslip below Lockleys Pylon has made a deep scar in the bush below. Must have been quite a noise too.
I was a little surprised at the details from this little old lens.

The fruit of a tree is the result of its life,
It can be sweet as a raisin, or sour as strife.
It's only as good as what the tree is fed,
we feed on the images that stay in our head

CP 7043 is leading CSX K026-23 which has just changed crews at North Baltimore. Q135-23 is crossing all the way over and pulling into the yard on the lead to the left in this view and the oil train will have to wait a few minutes for the long intermodal with a cut of autoracks on the end to clear the crossovers.
