I love the fresh green of Spring, especially the new leaves of the chestnut trees are beautiful in the sunshine. Many chestnut trees around here are sick and usually quite ugly later during the year but with their their new leaves in Spring they still look healthy and well.
Puffin with sandeels, flying back to the burrow, on a cloudy afternoon,on the Farne Isles, Northumberland. Taken back in the day, when you could land on the Island. This is an archive image, taken seven years ago, not previously posted.

View from Munt Baselgia on the beautiful lakes of Macun below and the Silvretta mountains in the distance. It was a bit slippery on the ridge, but well worth the effort.
gel beads...
just thought this made an interesting image and they were right next to my pc and camera... so I figured why not!!
Flowers in a fresh spring light. It never gets old! I know, it's almost the end of the summer, but I wanted to break it with something little different.
I remember the last time I was up here that I was shocked to see folks skiing the ridge to the left but have since found out that you can go anywhere you want in the winter, that is, if you have the proper gear..... I was post holing to my knee right here and had to turn back. I've been to Edith Creek in the winter, must have been after the snow had been packed down by all those smart folks with snow shoes. :-) Chatting with Crest Pictures I believe that shoulder there is the route to the top from Muir, I'll find out this summer because it's high on my list while I can still make the climb. Camp Muir, not the summit.... :-)
Sun shines for this little meadow, while young trees are playing around. The air is fresh, the green is green, life is good.
I love this time of year where leaves such as these are all shiny and new, so beautiful and fresh. A joy to behold.
I cropped this for the One Square Inch Of The World group. 'The size is an estimate, which, according to my understanding of the rules, is allowed. These tiny rhododendron blossoms will soon be much bigger. One photo a day. (145/366) -- May 24, 2020
