Frost coats the willows along the riverbank at Dingle Idaho. The Bear River will be frozen solid soon, since temperatures have been dropping below zero F fairly often.

Almost 24 hours of freezing rain, sleet, snow and rain. Everything is coated in a glistening armor of ice...and this is what it looks like through the macro lens, on a rose bush.
Winter isn't my favorite season, as many of you know - I look at the first day of Winter as the beginning of the count down to Spring.
But there are parts of it I love. And so, for the next 75 days (...until Spring!) I'll post new images of things we can all love about Winter. Its beauty, its role in Nature's cycle of birth/growth/death, its uniqueness :)

When I was going out to work, I stopped for some minutes to appreciate the view and take some captures... Really a cold day, but, beautiful too.. ;-))
Jökulsárlón ends at the Diamond Beach.
It is a beautiful black sand beach where you can see ice-cubes and crystals that are washed up from the sea, which is actually very beautiful especially at dawn, sunrise or sunset because then light illuminates the icebergs.
