The sun was so bright yesterday. I went under the trees and snapped this, love the way they framed the sky and clouds.

Film Noir moments lead me onto a fun and imaginative walk home as the entire "film" plays out and all of the interesting characters fall into place. Here we have the "femme fatale" on her way to meet the protagonist.

Fagaras massif - Romania
Taken during the traversal of the entire 94km of the Fagaras ridge; it took 4 days of intense hiking, scrambling, facing the elements (lots of thunder storms and heavy rain), sprinkled with moments of joy, agony as well as contemplation and satisfaction. It was one of the best hiking trips I've been on in a long time!
Although I have been hiking on mountains for quite some time now, regardless of the season, I realize that as time goes by and the number of places visited increases, the satisfaction keeps growing and becoming more intense - places I thought I knew, slowly reveal more and more "secrets", always leaving me with a sense of wonder and amazement.
The frame below captures one of these moments of contemplation, in which the mountain leaves you breathless, and the effort it took to get there vanishes for a few moments, leaving you with a sense of accomplishment and inner joy.
The person you see in the frame is Dorin, an extraordinary man from all points of view, with whom the traversal of the Fagaras ridge was a real pleasure.

Photography tip... if you see a dog run by a space that would be a good shot for a human, wait. Person usually comes a few minutes later.

Located at 16°30′0″S 68°08′0″W (−16.5, −68.1333), La Paz is built in a canyon created by the Choqueyapu River (now mostly built over), which runs northwest to southeast. The city's main thoroughfare, which roughly follows the river, changes names over its length, but the central tree-lined section running through the downtown core is called the Prado.
The geography of La Paz (in particular the altitude) is marked by social differences. The more affluent residents live in the lower, central areas of the city southwest of the Prado. Many middle-class residents live in high-rise condos near the center. Lower-income residents live in makeshift brick houses in the surrounding hills.
The satellite city of El Alto, in which the airport is located, is spread over a broad area to the west of the canyon, on the Altiplano. La Paz is renowned for its unique markets, unusual and dramatic topography, and traditional culture.

Black Skimmer attacking Forster's Tern chick.
The chick taking on the skimmer is slightly larger than it's sibling, a bit like big brother trying to protect it's sister from the bully when mom and dad are not around.
I followed these two through a very shady path and they led me to this nice opening. The young one sensed me behind them and checked at the perfect time for a photo. It is amazing how tame the White Tailed Deer are at Killbear.
