Autumn in Colorado's San Juan Mountains, with Mount Sneffels framed by golden aspens which in turn are framed by a ring of red leafed shrubs.

An extremely long exposure gives Shuswap Lake a unique look. It appears to be a solid sheet of ice when in fact it is simply calm. An added and unexpected bonus is the overall white it has taken on from the sky overhead.
My goal was to capture the cloud that is playing near the top of the distant mountain. Catching clouds above it, further aids in the overall balance of the image. And, allowing the land to form a silhouette, frames the cloud and the photo is complete.

Before these crazy storms started obliterating our landscape, there remained a smattering of autumn colour in sheltered areas of woodland. This view shows a silver birch tree clinging on to its leaves in Bramcote Country Park on the outskirts of Nottingham.

a giraffe here... a giraffe there....and one in the middle..
and geotagging no longer works....can add to map but does not show....anybody else with this problem?
