height 30 inches (76 cm), bloom 7.5 inches (19 cm), season M, Dormant, Diploid, Fragrant, Pink blend with cream midribs and lime yellow throat.

 

Daylily George Caleb Bingham - 30in. M Ev OE F 7-8in. bloom. Large pink blend, small lime heart blending to yellow before reaching pink on segments. Large prominent creamy ribs. George Caleb Bingham was an American artist known for paintings of American life in the frontier lands along the Missouri River.

There seems to be an abundance of orchids about at the moment so I can't resist the opportunity to get a few shots. I think I've got the ID right.

for me the smell of jasmine brings back memories of my Nana,who used to adorn herself and her grand children with jewellery made exclusively out of jasmine flowers.

the spring is here and the aroma of the calamondin tree blooms fill the backyard. A calamondin fruit tree produces an acid orange that is quite sour.

H. 'Royal Standard' is fragrant. I have four pots like this.

H. plantaginea is the mother species for fragrant hosta. I now have 8 of them.

Oregon Lavender FestivalFor a day or two, leave the world of hustle and bustle, computers, and chaos to soak in the delights lavender has to offer. Sometimes simply standing in the midst of a lavender field with its overwhelming beauty and aroma can be medicine enough to restore calm and recharge your spirit.

 

Tour Lavender Locations, each with its own selection of different varieties of lavender, and each with its own activities arranged for the festival. At lavender farms, you can cut your own bouquets of fresh lavender; at nurseries, you can purchase specialty lavender plants and speak to experts on growing and cultivating lavender. Each location has special events planned for the festival weekend, so be sure to click on the destinations tour page to see what each lavender location has to offer.

Lavender Photography Each year, the Oregon Lavender Association invites photographers to capture the magic of lavender in Oregon.
