I am very excited to announce that you can now buy limited edition giclee prints of some of my work online! They are printed and mounted by a lovely gallery in the South of England using such beautiful archival inks and papers.
To celebrate I am running a little competition on Instagram for the next week and a half and will be giving a free print away at the end of it. If you're also on Instagram feel free to join in!

Artist Rose B. Simpson
Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. Simpson created the Pod series while at the Rhode Island School of Design working on her master's degree. She built each piece in one studio session. Each figure is an imperfect, fragile patchwork of components and influences as are human beings.
The actual sculpture is displayed nearby.
Real beauty is in the fragility of your petals. A rose that never wilts isn't a rose at all.
CRYSTAL WOODS, Write Like No One Is Reading
Last April when I was in Finland, I was shown how to make a traditional ring from a strip of birchbark. Miraculously, I still have it, intact.
Here it is resting on a lump of Himalayan rock salt, a holder for a tea light.

As its name suggests, the red-eyed tree frog has red eyes with vertically narrowed pupils. It has a vibrant green body with yellow and blue, vertically striped sides. Its webbed feet and toes are orange or red. The skin on the red-eyed tree frog's belly is soft and fragile, whereas the back is thicker and rougher. Red-eyed tree frogs have sticky pads on their toes. They spend a majority of their lives in trees; they are excellent jumpers. Red-eyed tree frogs are not poisonous and rely on camouflage to protect themselves. During the day, they remain motionless, cover their blue sides with their back legs, tuck their bright feet under their bellies, and shut their red eyes. Thus, they appear almost completely green, and well hidden among the foliage.
Friendships
are fragile things, and require as much handling as any other fragile and precious thing.
