A key part of my kitchen has become my reading glasses! I love to cook and have a big collection of cookbooks ... alas, this pair of eyeglasses has now taken up permanent residence on my cookbook shelf.

Member's Choice - Found In The Kitchen
I found this pastry wheel in the very deep of my drawer. Didn't know that I owned it. I think it's time to take notice of it and do some baking where it will be used :-) HMM
Beside the scene:
Salad Cress, always on the kitchen windowsill for adding to salads and sandwiches I love it's peppery taste.

Happy Macro Monday everyone.
Abstract Macro shot of two silicone pastry brushes with a deliberate in camera movement which has blurred the bristles and merged the two brushes into one, which was an unexpected result, HMM!

My first idea for this week's theme "Found in the Kitchen" was to take a towel-hanger macro. After taking a few uninteresting shots from different angles, I placed the camera on top of a clear blue plastic food bag while having a little think. With the liveview still on, I noticed that the scene looked a bit like a landscape. So I abandoned the first idea and used this:)
In the background is the kitchen window with blinds half open; the slightly darker blur towards the right of the picture is caused by the tap blocking the light. After crumpling the bag into various shapes all subsequent pictures looked less and less like landscapes and more like a crumpled up plastic bag, so I chose the first one I took.
Not an interesting object, but an unexpected alien misty landscape found in the kitchen!
Rubber bands saved (like Mum always did) in a lidless ginger jar. I am a "war baby" and we had Rationing for a while after the war. Mum just NEVER threw an elastic out. Save rubber, I guess, so I save it too although I have a contact allergy to latex! Go figure! HMM
The last of my rose bud tea. Here is how the whole setting looks like. :) For Macro Mondays group - Found in the Kitchen.
This is a re-do for my spiral photo from 2017....it could also work for Contraption and Found in the Kitchen!

This is the time of year, with an excess of fresh local tomatoes, peaches, apples and all kinds of other fruits and veggies sitting out on the counter, these little pests are always found in the kitchen!"
Of course once I started trying to attract them to my apple-vinegar staged setup, they were all but non-existent!!

Four different types of tea that are found in my kitchen! The contrast of shapes/colours/texture of the different teas next to each other results in an interesting macro image.
Verveine, Rooibis (red bush), Brazilian Mate and Jasmine tea!
HMM everyone!
Macro Mondays Theme: found in the Kitchen. I'm still battling with my laptop which is in the process of dying so photos are taking forever. HMM...
"Party" toothpicks in various colors that I #FoundInTheKitchen.

Fresh and dried herbs are found all over my kitchen as I not only use them in my cooking, but I grow them on the kitchen window sill.
Weekly submission to this week's Macro Monday Theme. I spend fair amount in the kitchen so lots of opportunity to take photos. HMM!
Macro Mondays theme: Monday, October 2nd - Found In The Kitchen.
Tried a few things for this theme after rumaging through a few drawers in the kitchen. Found this little knife, a tomato and a cutting board.
Yes - the tomato was enjoyed - fresh from the garden.
Happy Macro Monday to all ...
This guy has been living in the air vent in the kitchen window for months, never been able to catch him. His days are numbered though as we are extending the kitchen soon, I'll miss him .
