An apple shaped Apple Corer & Divider Segmenter for this week's Macro Mondays - Found in the Kitchen theme.
I do hope this theme will come up again next year or so, because my kitchen is full of possibilities :)
This is a little bowl used for soy sauce or similar things. The rim is about 4 inches in diameter, so I had to crop away an inch or so (it would have looked better in proportion otherwise). The little base is so much smaller than the rim, that's why I like it. It is blue inside but you can't see that. It is a thing of beauty.
Macro Mondays: Found in the kitchen. A strainer that I have not ever used much so it is still shiny. The full item is in the stream if you are interested

this weeks theme for 'Macro Mondays' is ' found in the kitchen', lots to chose from remembering no forks etc & has to be no larger than 3". I just can't take one photo so more to go with this, but can only chose one for the group.

Dear Flickr friends, I wish you all a Happy New Year 2018. Thank you all for your wonderful comments and support in 2017. I've learned a lot about photography by taking part in Macro Mondays, by looking at your captures, our different ways of seeing things (literally and figuratively), the communication with each other, and I hope that 2018 will be as inspiring and creative as 2017 was ;-)

Ich habe im vergangenen Jahr viel über Fotografie gelernt, z.B. durch die Teilnahme am Macro Monday, aber auch durch Eure schönen Fotos, die unterschiedlichen Sichtweisen, im wörtlichen wie im übertragenen Sinne, und den Austausch mit Euch. Ich hoffe, dass 2018 für uns so kreativ und inspirierend sein wird, wie es 2017 war ;-)

Just when I was wondering what to photograph for Macro Monday's theme of "Found in the Kitchen" I spied this bit of fluff dangling from my kitchen light shade.

the macromonday theme for 10/2 is "found in the kitchen". and just for the fun of it, i scrunched it so it stayed under the 3"x2" parameter, as evidenced by the blue CC....... i had more fun with this topic than i thought i might.

Macro Mondays Member's Choice theme ''Found In The Kitchen''
For this week Macro Mondays theme “Found in the Kitchen”, I decided to use two small cookie cutters. They both are 1.25 inches in width but overlap to make sure they still fit in the 3” guideline. I mostly use these cookie cutters to create different vegetable shapes for decoration when I do stir-fry. It works best with peppers or carrots. Everything tastes better when it looks good isn’t it? 😉
