2nd October 2017:

As I wasn't sure what the weather was going to do and I needed to get my Macro Monday Mondays photo done, I doubled up again.

It's the bottom of the whisk.

Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites.

Minions in my kitchen? They certainly don't lift a finger to help with the kitchen work ;-) Just sitting on the shelf, waiting to be fed... Well, just Minions.

Size: 3,5 x 2 cm (1,37 x 0,78 inches). The red "eyes" and red-dish glow are from a piece of pink foam rubber which I put behind the Minion's "eyes".

A Happy Macro Monday, Everyone!

Thank you for your comments and faves, they are always highly appreciated!

Lost track of them a long time ago

Found them yesterday looking for something

to photograph for the 'found in the kitchen' theme.

Don't want to risk losing them again, so

I think i will bake some cupcakes next week!

A redux of several themes -- made of metal, B&W, and found in the kitchen. This is a macro of an egg whisk -- somewhat semi-abstract and I thought the monochrome would enhance it a little. Hope you enjoy -- HMM and a Happy New Year to all!

Macro Mondays - Member's Choice: Found In The Kitchen

No, it is not a mammoth ... This ice cube with the delicious seeds of an anise would have done well in an aniseed. The liquor has many names: Raki, Ouzo, Absinthe, Pastis, Pernod, Sambuca, Arak, Anis Escarchado – sure you know a variety of them. But I preferred to use it for Macro Mondays Redux ... The main theme is "Found in the Kitchen", but it also works for "Seeds" and "High Key" and if you look closely, you can even discover a small heart ;-)

In Germany "Pommes, Rot-Weiss" is a short form for ordering French fries with mayonnaise and ketchup. That tastes good. Red and white radishes also taste really delicious. Finely cut, on buttered bread and with salt. And prepared on a pretty plate, you known – You eat with your eyes ;-)

Rot-Weiß. Keine Pommes?

Last of the homegrown sweet corn but there’s plenty of kale to keep us going. The whole corn was about 4 inches, the focus point is about halfway down the corn, so about 2 inches of the corn captured.

Thanks for stopping by, HMM

okay, okay I know it's really twee but I love it! My brother got me this tiny tea set when he went on a school trip years ago and I have loved it ever since. HMM : )

I always have food colouring in my kitchen. I've made dozens of cakes and hundreds of cupcakes with colourful designs throughout the years, but this time I thought I'd try to capture the beauty of one drop of colouring flowing into water.

After a few weeks without participating with Macro Monday, I thought today was the day. I really liked the theme of this week, I was feeling creative and I had some free time. After opening every single drawer in the kitchen, this is the result. :)

While editing I came to the conclusion that this image works better in B&W.

The holes of the grater are a few millimeters big, so I think that's ok with the size rule of Macro Monday. :)

Sugar candy caramelized on a stick.

Length 2' inches, width ~ 1 inche

The largest crystal has a size of 4x5 mm

I found a box of sugar candy caramelized on a sticks in the drawer and that was a big surprise for me. I do not sweeten tea or coffee and just forgot about them. This is probably even a gift from somebody. HMM

One of my favourite items in the kitchen - the wine filter. Mainly because, if it's out of its storage box and on the benchtop, it means we are having wine with dinner - and more specifically it means a 'good' bottle of wine that needs decanted using the filter to catch the sediment.
