A caver viewing a tree like formation near the Tuppenny - Ha'penny Choke towards the end of Ogof Capel in the Clydach Gorge, South Wales
A P-51 Mustang, a CA-18 Mustang and a Skyraider at Flying Legends 2011. Too bad the Skyraider clipped the "Big Beautifull Doll" in flight the next day. The "Doll" crashed (pilot OK) and the 'Raider managed a safe landing, but with a big chunk of right wing missing... © Bert Visser

Been very distant recently, focussing more on automotive photography from car shows and race events, which I try to keep separate for these more slow paced, more 'technical' work.
Got my dark[bed]room set up last month and managed to produce some fancy prints with some split grade techniques, which I'm quite pleased with - the resin coated paper just seems to lack in the blacks, don't know if it's me or the papier!?
Took myself out on a little drive to a farm about half hour from home. Promised myself I'd get out here some time this year, was quite a spur of the moment thing if I'm honest, didn't even take my Nikon D3100 with me, a digital-free trip!
This little set is a collection of what I saw when I looked down, textures and lighting were really what I was going for, with a little composition. Onto the meaty details;

The kid in the green sweatshirt thought it was funny to get in and stay in as many scenes as possible. IDIOT I thought. I enjoyed photographing Hocking Hills today.
This scene seems a bit busy for me. Lines here and there with different textures everywhere. What are your thoughts???
2 different species of fish from the Green River Formation in Wyoming, which dates from the Eocene, about 50 million years ago. The one on the right is Knightia, one of the most common fossil fish in the world, and the one on the left is a Diplomystus dentatus. The whole piece measures about 11 inches across, while the fish are around 4 inches across. The Green River Formation is one of the most famous fossil collecting sites in the whole world, as it preserves its fossils extraordinarily well. There was at one point 4 large lakes in that area and these fossils allow us to see what life was like in the early Tertiary period in the American west.
