Continuing my Year Of Unconventional Lenses, shot with an old Pentacon 50mm 1.8 and a Cherry Phago 2x tele convertor.
I love these little flowers brightening up the grass verges and corners of our garden at the moment - I think the tiny, furry purple buds are almost as pretty as the flowers :)
In a legend, God named all the plants but when a tiny unnamed one cried out, "Forget-me-not, O Lord!" God replied, "That shall be your name."
Another legend tells when the Creator thought he had finished giving the flowers their colours, he heard one whisper "Forget me not!" There was nothing left but a very small amount of blue, but the forget-me-not was delighted to wear such a light blue shade.
Whatever the source of it's name it's a lovely welcome to Spring.
"Develop interest in life as you see it;
in people, things, literature, music -
the world is so rich, simply throbbing with rich treasures,
beautiful souls and interesting people.
Forget yourself."
(Henry Miller)
My brother Kaesemann took a photo of a snail in the same place some weeks ago - when the little plants were coloured yellow, green and red and looking even more beautiful.
First for my snail-set in 2008! :)
Have a happy Thursday!

Estas flores me gustan especialmente por su significado y evidentemente por lo lindas que son.
