Foresters of America in Columbia, Pennsylvania is some sort of fraternal organization/mutual aid society/bar, I'm not really sure, but they have a neat sign above the building entrance.
Some UK Poundland stores are now surprisingly getting in the latest 2025 Case E Matchbox assortment yet annoyingly most of mine appear to have dropped the brand from their pegs altogether. One does still have Case B which they've had since late last year and one i've not bothered grabbing any more for months but couldn't let this poor 2019 Subaru Forester left hanging almost alone!
I've been a big fan of the casting since it first appeared some years back and has already benefitted from several recolours culminating in this rather classy looking metallic dark blue version. 100% factory stock in appearance with great proportions and fine detailing front and rear.
Mint and boxed.
Adscita statices taken at Ainsdale NNR nr. Southport - a Natural England-run site. Forester moths are only found at a small number of locations in the NW of England but since I first found two at Ainsdale NNR in 2013 I've seen them every summer. The cold springs and wet summers of 2019 & 2020 (and Covid-19) meant I only saw 2 each year but in 2018 I recorded and photographed 16 on one day - all within a very small area called on Pinfold Meadow. I love the green iridescence and the fact that they're easily approached as they feed mostly on Ragwort during the day. There was just enough sunlight to show up the amazing iridescence on the wings without it being too reflective and the depth of field adds a rather soft, romantic feel to the photo. The second generation of the Subaru Forester was sold between 2002 and 2008. This one is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 litre boxer engine, good for 177 PS. Like most larger Subarus it has all-wheel drive drive.

Forester Moth Adscita statices, Derbyshire july 2016. Many thanks to a very thoughtful and enlightened landowner who has fenced off a corner of his field to create a wildlife rich flower meadow. Quite a few of these and lots of other butterflies and other insects.
Old Forester 1879 Bottled in Bond is crafted to honor a watershed moment in bourbon history, the U.S. Bottled-in- Bond Act of 1897. To be labeled as Bottled in Bond in 1879, whisky had to be aged in a federally bonded warehouse for at least four years, and it had to be the product of one distillation season, one distiller and from one distillery, as well as be bottled at 100 proof. Mash Bill.... 72%Corn, 18% Rye, 10% Malt. Three 500w tungsten lights (Hot Lights)
This Eight-spotted Forester Moth glistened in the sunlight at Pointe Mouilee State Game Area, Michigan, USA.
It is sometimes mistaken for a butterfly since it regularly visits flowers, as in this picture wherein it is seen on Yellow Sweet Clover.
Shot my good friend Jake's Subaru Forester today after he finished up most of his setup for the season.
This could be the last photograph ever taken from my Nikon D100 :-( Managed to get the photos off the card with a card reader but the camera is dead.
I was setting up a shot of a nice little stream; got it all framed, noticed a little twig that was in shot, went to remove it and heard the deathly splash behind me, sickening. It's been drying out in the sun so if you're a praying flickr'er pray in church tomorrow for my Jacques Cousteau Nikon D100. Typically, on the long, lonely walk home I saw millions of photo oppotunities. Hanky please
Anyway this is a 5 exposure HDR, background blurred in PS. Kind of looks 3D who cares. Might even look good on black 'Foresters Tractor' On Black so what

Our latest foster pup, Forester. He looks a bit like a pom/chiwawa cross. They told us someone dumped him on the road. He was a very nice pup. No accidents, settled at night, very photogenic (as you can see), and tough to return. Two families had already applied to adopt him, so I am sure he found a good home.
