As taken, just cropped from the same photo used to create the photo to the right. Also, in the colors rendered by my camera’s ”Auto Picture Style" (in this case, only slightly brighter than "Faithful") and simply converted from RAW to JPG. I found reality to be unbelievably vibrant and the background to be muddy, so I desaturated it for the photo to the right : )
Oh, and the flower was in the shade (muddy background) and I was also using a physical circular polarizer, both of which can increase apparent color intensity.

just something kind of peaceful, feels a little more needed now...

Actually, no. The adult common tern landed a few feet away from the juvenile and kept the tasty treat - an American eel - for itself. SW CT

In your eyes, I'm alive
Inside you're beautiful
Something so unusual
In your eyes
I know I'm home (yeah)
Every tear, every fear
Gone with the thought of you
Changing what I thought I knew
I'll be yours for a thousand lives
I'm free as a bird
When I'm flying in your cage
I'm diving in deep
And I'm riding with no brakes
And I'm bleeding in love
You're swimming in my veins
You got me now
Been waiting for a lifetime for you
Been breaking for a lifetime for you
Wasn't looking for love 'til I found you
Ooh na-na ayy
For love, 'til I found you (oh)
Skin to skin
Breathe me in
Feeling your kiss on me
Lips are made of ecstasy
I'll be yours for a thousand lives (for a thousand lives)

Spot the two birds :)
For a change, this is a new (outside!) photo, taken just a few days ago at the wonderful Britzer Garten, one of Berlin's biggest and most beautiful public parks (please check my album for more "Britz bliss", if you like).
For better dynamic range, I've used exposure bracketing (three images), pre-processed the images in DXO PhotoLab (sharpness and DeepPrime denoising only), from which I directly went into HDR Efex Pro to combine the images. I'm trying to get away from the annual Adobe subscription, and combining images from an exposure bracketing series in HDR Efex instead of Lightroom is one step into that direction. Unfortunately, whenever I think I can finally leave Adobe behind for good they come up with improvements such as the new "supersize" function (now also available in LR), a ton of new presets for LR, and other interesting stuff (and I'm still used to the LR/PS workflow, and the layers in PS). Well, maybe I'll be ready next year ;)
Extra sliding was done in Color Efex, where I added some "Brilliance and Warmth" and a tiny bit of "Contrast Color Range".
Happy Sliders Sunday, Everyone, stay safe and have a nice week ahead!

Saint-Marks church, Old Longueuil
In 1842, the small Episcopalian community of Longueuil and of the surrounding area, built on land donated by the baron Charles William Grant, a small stone church in the neogothic style. Its small belfry was replaced three times. The stone portico and the pillars were built after the construction. In 1876, a small school for the English speaking children was built east of the church. It was torn down in 1935.
On the west side of the church lot, a red brick house was built in 1893 for the pastor and his family. The building is characteristic of the Victorian epoch, as shown by the triangular architectural ornaments of the dormer windows and of the roofs which are covered up by moldings and boards artistically cut.
This last building more than 100 years old was acquired by the city of Longueuil in 1990. Today it is known as the “Old Rectory - Vieux Presbytere “ it serves as a show center.
In 1996, after an understanding between the City of Longueuil, the factory of St. Mark and the business people of Longueuil, the garden is serving as a public park with a central music kiosk.
