I'm definitely up for spring

But

I know there will stille be more snow

More winter

Probably for months

I found this bulb in Røldal

The wintersport place where they have downhills and definitely don't want any spring

It's looking down towards the lake from the mountain

Well

My hopes are that it won't be 2 meters of snow in my garden

But only some centimeters with snow that can melt in peace

And then I will have my spring

And my forest back again

No more dudes

Coloured or black

Past which blue moon

Will grow in this field

A stalk

And scatter in the wind

The moans of the earth?

This image is dedicated to nurdane. She is a very versatile photographer from Turkey. Her shots are so various in terms of subject, from flowers to droplets, from architecture to landscape, from pencils to birds. The confirmation of having great skills at photographing is that she was able to make her dream come true: a personal exhibition. All my congrats!!!! She is also a very nice contact, always ready to visit and comment . Thank you so much nurdane for your testimonial and supporting me day by day :-)

For "Smile on Saturday - Orange"

After failing to get out with the camera on Thursday and Friday due to other commitments, and working Saturday and Sunday, I decided to head out for some night time photography in Plymouth after work last night.

I picked up Louis Goldman on the way into town and having no plan we just went for a wander.

Over the weekend Smeaton's Tower has been lit up all red to commemorate Armistice Day and 100 years since the end of WWI, so remembering this we headed up to The Hoe and thankfully it was still lit up after the evening parades had finished. It was pretty windy up there last night which gave some nice movement in the cloud, giving a well photographed view a more dramatic shot.

I have no idea how long it's going to be lit up like that for, probably not for much longer, so we were lucky to capture it.

Jenny Holzer: For Paula Modersohn-Becker

This one's for Russ Barnes (www.russbarnes.co.uk)

I was lucky enough to be shooting with him a couple of weekends ago (on an excellent Greg Whitton workshop). We were climbing Moelwyn Mawr in Snowdonia, Wales, watching some incredible weather moving across the landscape. I'd started packing up my gear up at this point, eager to climb further but Russ (the wily fox) had seen this cloud developing and waited... and waited.. and waited just a bit more, until we got this shot. Respect, Russ - great lesson!

Y Garn is the hill in the middle distance, with the long ridge of Cadair Idris behind (about 20 miles away).

First of all, I do NOT have a cold , or worse, but I was looking around the room for something to photo and saw this . It's an old box of tissues kept in a guest bedroom and barely used .

……Coalport was famous for its China works, this 19th century relic is in fine fettle that would have heated using coal. Enjoyed a little circular walk up & down the River Severn from Jackfield to Coalport and back. This shot is along the canal that runs parallel to the river to the Incline that took cargo off the Severn lifting it up in 5 ton lots over 200 feet to the Shropshire canal network. My iPhoneaday 365 shot of the day - edited in Lightroom, feel free to press Z (or pinch out) to take a closer look. . Alan:-)…….
