I actually had the flash set up wrong that's why there's too much light up the top!
Oh well, it was a good high jump!
:-)
Explore #190 - thanks!
:-)
Andy the tabby cat can fly like a mutha!
It looks like he is laying on the ceiling... thats how good he is.
Just when I thought I'd have to call an expert to fix the open-close chain on the blinds, Freddie steps in and does it. Amazing......................
Just minding his business, Freddie was blind sided by Roomba the robot vacuum cleaner. It was not a pretty sight.
I managed to make a short video showing how they fly, here - http://lawsie.blogspot.com/2009/03/proof-my-cats-can-fly.html
Now we see what it was that got Freddie jumping up to the transom window. It is just a piece of a hair band. It surely doesn't take much to keep Freddie occupied. I suppose his return form was on a par with yesterday's take-off form.
The poor boy just doesn't take rejection very well. I know he will get over it soon. If this makes no sense to some of you, the previous shot will help explain.
Hope all are having a pleasant weekend.
and its owners.
TGIF :-) I wish all of you a great start into the weekend!

Allright, Truth be told. This is not photoshopped, and there is no wire holding up his head. What we have here is Stevie, who has just launched himself from the chair to the bed and as usual, made a perfect landing. Best seen in large for his intense concentration.
After climbing up the dresser yesterday, Fred gave the Today show 5 minutes and bailed on poor Matt Lauer. I guess for obvious reasons he wanted Meredith.
Cat, do not interrupt me, knock stuff over, and make me take pictures in undignified poses or ye shall be down to 8 lives.
One thing for sure, when He hears the dishes clanking downstairs, He knows that it's dinner time. At least we can say his form is a perfect 10.
Mixed media for the Endless Book project (group An Endless Book), but it also fits into the "Up, Up&Away" prompt for the Journal52 group :)
Hand lettering and stamping ink through a stencil on a page in a Chinese accordion sketchbook. Cats are photocopied from a postcard, butterfly wings cut out from gift wrap, collage on vellum. Balloons are hand drawn with Sakura Micron and Uniball Signo gel pens. The text is a famous Russian poem about a cat who hurt her paw and flies supported by balloons :)
The vellum layer is inserted by a flap between the doubled pages of the book.
Refusing to take a back seat to Stevie in the Flying Wars, Freddie showed some perfect form this morning when the both of them were going up and down like an elevator.
The "Road Runner" Richard Gere, shows his performance on the alfalfa plantation.
He is the faster of the cats clan
All I said, was one more shot Freddie, and in a blur, Mr. Primadonna was gone. Hope he knows how to cook....
Anna tied her stuffed animal to some string and dangled it over the balcony. The kitties were going wild.
This is a picture with a story. First off, even though it's 3 years old, I don't think I ever posted it. This Image came about when I posted the picture below. I received a Flickr mail from a fellow Flickr-ino asking if He could use this picture for a Photo Shop contest He wished to enter. Of course I said sure, why not? When He sent this to me I was knocked out. (No Pun Intended). I believe He said it won. Sad to say I can't recall or find the name of this talented artist. If You're out there buddie, give a shout.
The only change I made to his work was to convert it to B & W. I felt it gave it that gritty Ring Magazine vibe. So what we have here is a collaboration between Me and the Unknown artist and of course, Freddie the Cat. This was actually my very 1st shot of him getting air. As later pix showed, He became quite the Flying Cat.
Monica Bellucci and Richard Gere having fun on the alfalfa plantation.
Have a great weekend, my dear Flickr Friends!
