My husband cut these roses from our flowerbox outside and placed them in this parfait cup with glass floral arrangement stones. I saw them on the kitchen windowsill when I came home from work this evening. I am always delighted by his home arts, and am grateful for the beauty he brings into my life.

At first I thought there was something wrong with this bumblebee, he looked so dazed. But then at once his wings started to trill and there he flew away.

1 notch to dark
Got home and the sun was setting and lighting up the flowers in the breeze.
This is my first shot using the "darkslide over the rollers" technique. I didn't have it quite right and it shot the darkslide out and didn't cover up the film. Next time, put it in a little deeper. The shutter speed was a little too slow and the flowers were blowing around quite a bit.
The first installation of this unique vertical garden was completed in September 2007. The garden consists of over 500 plants and 80 different species.

Memorial Day weekend project: urban gardening
Got a couple window boxes, stained them black and anchored them to the window ledge. Then did some planting. Didn't quite get the mix right for the second window. But can always add more later.
