All the power saws came out to help today. Originally tried the 6 1/2" circular saw to cut the miters in the 5/4 cedar, but the blade was just not long enough for a clean cut. Moved to the 10" miter saw and that did the trick, albeit sloppily as it's not a really accurate cut so the miters are janky. Table saw ripped the boards to width.

I saw them on the kitchen windowsill when I came home from work this evening. I am always delighted by his home arts, and am grateful for the beauty he brings into my life.

Got home and the sun was setting and lighting up the flowers in the breeze.

This is my first shot using the "darkslide over the rollers" technique. I didn't have it quite right and it shot the darkslide out and didn't cover up the film. Next time, put it in a little deeper. The shutter speed was a little too slow and the flowers were blowing around quite a bit.
