Another lovely streetscape from the town where my mother's mother was born. Everyone has a flowerbox, everywhere in Italy. Every time I come back to the States, I vow to put one up all over my house. Still waiting to happen.
Here's what the setting looked like after adding a makeshift cafe set, along with alterations to the brick wall, floor, watering can, plant stand, flower pot and door knobs.

I am stuck in Germany for a few days after having escorted a patient from Afghanistan to Landsthul Military Hospital....Might as well make the most of it. Enjoy the greenery for a while, I'll be back in the desert shortly.

To all who visit and view, and – especially – express support and satisfaction: you are much appreciated!

Last week I took her in to be spayed. I also took two of her kittens and had them placed in foster care. I went back today to check on her and she seemed fine.
Originally built as a flowerbox, the cats never had a moment's doubt that I had intended it as a cat bed. Eventually I gave up and replaced the flattened marigolds with plank of styrofoam.
I like this one! the focus on the flowers.....
DosieDough Bakery.. and again, that is Ingrid's Tyler on the right!
(PS on this one, it really does make a difference looking at this full-size!! very rare with my snaps ;)

It had a Raven on it!
I made another flower box, for a total of two. I added a piece of wood in the middle of each and attached it to the back, the bottom and the front for stiffening the long flower box.
I didn't drill any holes in the bottom. I reasoned that the gaps between the bottom and the front/back that I left is sufficient. Indeed after the first watering of the flowers I put in, excess water just dripped from the gaps.
Anyways, I planted pansies galore as you can see. I didn't bother doing anything to finish the cedar either, but that is 99% due to lack of time. We caught a good deal with the pansies and wanted to plant them ASAP. :-)
I have three flower boxes hanging on the railing of my balcony. to brighten up my days.... the gift ( and all the work) from Ra and Debbie for my birthday and Mother's day. There is also a trellis with three vines growing up it and begonias in the planter. Haven't taken any pictures of that so far.

I captured this picture on my balcony. The hoverfly was floating in front of my flower-box. It also changed its position, so I could take a picture of its front (see my other pictures).
For the lightning I used a self-made flash diffusor on top of my camera and the 100mm macro lens.
I took a couple of these, but I like this one the best because you can see the reflection of our house (and me, the creepy hooded figure).
