El Capitan Meadow with base of El Capitan, Yosemite National Park, camera hung from kite string.
This location can be seen from valley rim photo 2500 feet above this site.
First flight of the "FF03V" modified flowform. Not quite enough wind to make conclusive tests, but the kite inflates well and does not seem to want to collapse. Tuning the AOA allows to have a very responsive kite, which can quickly gain height when line is realed in, and then glides back quite well. However for now effects of the higher aspect ratio on line angle is not obvious ...

It's a shame the camera isn't pointing the other way - you'd see the Sea Tractor in 5 feet of water with the ferry boat docked at the front.
Just south of Anaehoomalu Bay, I launched my Flowform 16 with way too much fuzzy tail. The winds really couldn't support flying a rig, so I brought it down and took off all but 3m of tail. The winds were still too light, so I wound up packing the whole FF16 away in favor of a 6' rokkaku. The rokkaku flew the camera for the first major part of the hike.
