Being in Sydney this week with some spare time on the week end, I decided to travel with a Flowform 16, a Beak, a “peanut”, a Samsung NV 10, some gloves and line to try to target the Sydney Opera House.
First of all I did not suspect the wind to be that strong ( 20 to 25 knots) and the FF 16 was a bit too large.
Second I did not know that flying a kite over the opera House was forbidden and I found out when two policemen came to see what I was doing, same for the Sydney Police Department helicopter which in less that 5 minutes was patrolling over the opera.
Third, Auto Kap is still new to me and my angle was too low…
Fourth, flying a camera hanged on a kite over a crowd of visitors is much more stressful than flying over the water…
Unfortunately it did not last very long and the results are rather poor… a good pretext to go back tomorrow morning before the security and police patrol the premises… Hopefully more to come !!!Unfortunately the wind was too unstable and strong to try to make a panorama.

When the Planet Solar arrived in Tahiti I did a few KAP images of the ship in Papeete's harbour, and all went smooth and fast. The next morning one of my KAP shots was on the front page of the local daily newspaper: La Dépêche de Tahiti, I met with the crew and the inventor of this unique solar boat cruising around the world with just the energy of the sun and was offered to embark from Tahiti to Bora Bora for a "KAP trip" : 36 hours, 3000 shots, 25 Gb of HD space, 4 kites (PFK nighthawk, PFK super delta, dan Leigh Delta R8 and Flow Form 16), 5 rigs, 5 cameras ( Sony Nex 5, Sigma DP1, Ricoh GX 100, GoProHD, Leica M9) 8 KAP sessions from sunrise to sunset ... A great crossing with a Fantastic crew on an exceptional boat...KAP at its best under the sun with a great subject.

A last minute KAP session with PanoKAP and AlanKAP from the French KAP Forum in the business district of La Défense, west of Paris.
Very unstable wind, a difficult light and a siberian temperature (cold enough for the batteries of my rig to stop after a few minutes...)
