yesterday was busy, i'm sorry. </3
i have good news about yesterday, though! i got my license! :D i originally took a picture yesterday of me with my license but then realized it may be unacceptable to just have a picture of my driver's license up on flickr...haha. well, anyway, i really like this picture today. yay.

Holyoke Gas & Electric has the Robert E. Barrett Fishway open again. When they built the Fishway, they engineered it so that it would have the strongest current in this part of the river, the attractive flow.
Water is taken from the upper canal and routed through a steep series of sluices to build up pressure and speed.

The Pigeon River flows toward me here, on its way through the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina headed for Tennessee, where it will eventually meet up with the French Broad River. This river is popular for white water rafters. Upstream, you can see a bridge where Interstate 40 crosses.
Linear corrleation between Aortic blood velocity (ABV) and Aortic blood flow (ABF), calculated from ABV and aortic diameter (AoD). Data was obtained simulstaneoulsy using an esophageal echo-doppler (Hemosonic 100, Arrow Intl).
I used a little script (thanks OriginLab support!) to calculated aortic blood flow (ABF) from the data obtained from esophageal doppler, assuming that ABF = ABV * ((AoD^2*п)/4).
Small disparities during high aortic blood flow between ABV and ABF could make ABV to be misinterpreted as a surrogate index of SV in some circunstances.
