Crossing the river Scheldt commemorating the beginning of the First World War. 100 years ago, many people fled Antwerp via barges on the river Scheldt. Dutch soldiers built a bridge for Antwerp (for 100 000 men) . I was so lucky to walk across this very special bridge, because 15 000 could not for several reasons
Taken in Brookfield, Vermont. Thsi bridge was built by the Vermont Agency of Transportation in 1978. It has been closed since the big winter storms of 2010.

We've had an El Nino winter this year. Which has meant gorgeous beautiful spring like days with sunshine and blue skies. But has made the mountains a wet mushy soggy mess. Running on a day like this though almost makes up for it and even makes you willing to jump in the lake.
