Evergreen Point Floating Bridge is the longest pontoon bridge in the world. There are two floating bridges crossing Lake Washington to communicate Seattle with eastern suburbs. Evergreen Point Floating Bridge is the northern one.

I love it when the wind's out of the south, and the water's really choppy on that side of the bridge and calm on the other side. Best when viewed large.

Here the plane is about one-third of the way into a big U-turn to change direction and get lined up for the final approach to Sea-Tac Airport. At the end of the turn the plane will be at the far side of the bridge, going south (to the left).
The floating pontoon which connects two sides of Willemstad was a real buzz. Whilst disconnected to allow the passage of ships, there is a gradual build-up of people waiting to cross on either side. As soon as it is safe to do so, two processions of pedestrians stride towards one another, some more casual in their approach, others more urgent in their need to cross to the opposide side. Others just meet in the middle and stop and catch up with one another's news.

Looks like it could be Crawford area, or the Mission, or possibly Gallager's Canyon.
...anyway, I took a few photos of this little rift in the clouds as sunrise was happening.
I will put this into some Kelowna Flickr sites and perhaps someone can see who got a little sunshine this morning.
unlike other floating bridges I have been on, this one is actually partly underwater. I made a detour to go to one of the libraries I visit so that i could make the trip on Route 65 which contains the floating bridge.
