Lake Washington Floating Bridge, Washington State, in 1985. Taken from the deck of a boat. I originally had this image marked as "Mercer Island Bridge"; but this is the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge (SR-520). The bridge was officially renamed the "Governor Albert D. Rosellini Bridge—Evergreen Point" in 1989. This view is looking eastward toward Bellevue and Kirkland as we neared the riser a short distance from Husky Stadium.
We went to Swan Lake to check out the new floating bridge but no joy. It's not yet been installed. Lots of smoke from Vancouver Island forest fires. The algae bloom is so thick one could walk on water -- although, I didn't try it.

I love Seattle so much. When I lived in town, I loved skateboarding around looking up to the hills and down to the bay. I loved the tall buildings and long avenues.
These are two of my favorite views, classics I know, captured who knows whom some long time ago, and probably sold as a souvenir in the 50’s, but still my favorites. In fact, this is where I proposed to my Lady Rae and where she said “yes!”
I bought these prints last weekend for a quarter. SCORE!!! I can’t wait to frame them and hang them!

Sasamat Lake is located within Belcarra Regional Park in Port Moody, British Columbia. It is one of the warmest lakes in Greater Vancouver. At the south end of the lake there is a floating bridge, used for fishing or swimming. At the north end of the lake is White Pine Beach.

Crews use huge saws to cut through the concrete on the I-90 express lanes. The early sawcutting will give crews a head start on the expansion joint replacement project.

This is one of the warmest lakes in Metro Vancouver ! There is a nice easy trail around the lake, with minimal elevation gain. This place can get very crowded in the summer because it has two great sandy beaches (White Pine Beach). There is a very sturdy floating bridge across the lane with two wharves for fishing or jumping off. The lake has an area of about 45 ha (111 acres) and a perimeter of 3.2 kms.
