Floating Lake Sørvágsvatn is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. It is situated on the island of Vágar
Faroe Islands floating Lake also known as Lake Leitisvatn seen from the cliff Trælanípa. The scale is enormous and the drop is so scary after a few shots is enough as started to feel giddy from the height and decided to go and photography elsewhere.
A Green Heron fishing from a green carpet of tiny duckweed, which is the tiniest of all flowering plants that float on or just beneath the surface of still or slow-moving bodies of fresh water and wetlands. This variety is so tiny it looks like floating grains in the water!
Among the benefits it provides is a food source for waterfowl and marsh birds, and also supports insects that fish eat.
