"Creativity is a lot like looking at the world through a kaleidoscope. You look at a set of elements, the same ones everyone else sees, but then reassemble those floating bits and pieces into an enticing new possibility."
Rosabeth Moss Kanter
"The imagination is a palette of bright colors. You can use it to touch up memories — or you can use it to paint dreams."
Robert Brault
These animals are a mystery for me, absolutely fascinating and so beautiful. Spending their lifes floating through the sea. No brain inside, no bones, no eyes.. What a strange way of life.

This view of Swiftcurrent Lake shows off the large lodge there along the lake ... not looking all that large here though against that backdrop.
While feeding the fish, I saw all the bubbles from the the pond pump.
In LR I added the preset: One Click HDR from Preset Love because that gave the water the blue colour.
Happy looking close....on Friday!

PBW again!
A ring-necked duck floating around Pond 6 with purpose. A poorly named duck. In just the right light you can see a faint chestnut-colored ring around the base of its neck. Not a great mark to identify this species in the field, but according the the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the ring around the neck stood out to a 19th century biologist that described the species using dead specimens. I've never seen a dead one, so I'll have to take their word for it.
I was fortunate to receive a bunch of white lisianthus with the supermarket delivery. I treated them in the same way as I treat hellebores to take their photo: floating them in a shallow dish of water.
I found online: 'Lisianthus flowers have a meaning of a life-long bond between two people.'
Detail of a type of bur-reed Sparganium sp. floating on the surface of a wee lochan up behind Leac nan Fionn - I did a couple of shots of the bur-reed, thinking at the time it might be possible to blend them together - it was a bit of an experiment, but the two shots combined using a blending mode made an interesting abstract that I preferred over the individual images
Floating is a project by Bryn Oh and Cica Ghost. A concept with a sort of game included and a free gun to shoot at others if there are some.
You need to be in the Immersiva group to get there !
Like Cica said - the place isn't still open ! (which means full functional for playing maybe)

Sea Otters are actually bigger than they would seem when they're floating in the water, similar to icebergs where most of the bulk is below water ;) This cute sea otter was in the harbor.
Taken 14 May 2019 at Homer, Alaska.
One of the major highlights of my photography workshop to Iceland was the 3 days we spent photographing icebergs at the Jokulsarlon Lagoon, especially the day when we went out on Zodiacs to view some of the large floating icebergs up close, as seen here. The icebergs break off the leading edge of the nearby glacier, and flow through the lagoon to the open ocean. The colours in this image are real! Notice the large crack in this giant iceberg, 90% of whose mass is located under the water.
