I got up the morning after the 1987 storm with my camera.
I came across this milk float that had driven halfway over a patch of grass and simply abandoned!
Just seconds after touchdown in Juneau. They say one in ten residents of Alaska is a pilot. Airplanes are everywhere, and most are equipt with floats. Some have skiis. I'm sure most of them switch back and forth, depending on the season.
This should have been the last float in the parade, but there must have been some problem. We saw this float being decorated at AES a few days before the Parade.
