Returning with a huge BÄNG!!
After over two years of being out of my Flickrcommunity I decided to drop some fresh bombs since a lot of good stuff happened and came along in these past years.
One of my personal lightning stroke pictures - probably for life. A huge lightning storm surrounded my flat, sothat I was working with three cameras simultaneously. First I got up on our roof to see a huge U-formed storm surround me. Bonkers lighting everywhere. I`ve been rarely so thrilled and stoked. Those feelings turned pritty fast into pure fear for life, body and soul after that one hit ground. At least 3-4km away still pure threat. My only one roof top shot.
Thinking back I still fell those hairs stand up and pee fill my pants.

From our garden this photo of the constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor was taken. The coordinates of our garden are 41.53 deg North, 27.36 deg East in Luleburgaz, a township in Northwest Turkey. The North Star is a member of Ursa Minor and is the closest star to the celestial North Pole. Exposure time of the image is 142.9 sec and I set the focal length to 18 mm so I could cover as large an area as possible. It was a moonless dark sky with small cloud clusters. You can see the stars rotating about the Pole Star. The arc of the star traces can be calculated as 143.9*360/86400 = 0.6 degree. I wish I could keep the exposure time longer in which case you would see larger stellar circles. I didn't do that because I wanted you to recognize the Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. The color of the trees are due to the feeble background light being reflected by them. I didn't do any photo editing except for putting my signature and compressing the image for shorter upload time to Flickr.

Yildizlarin Kutup Yildizi etrafinda donmeleri belli oluyor. Yukaridaki hesapla her bir yildiz 0.6 derecelik bir yay uzerinde hareket etmis durumda. Poz suresini uzun tutsaydim daha buyuk yaylar gorecektiniz, ama yildizlari tanimak zorlasacakti. Fotograf aysiz ve karanlik bir gecede cekildi. Agaclarin goruntusu ve rengi cevreden gelen isiklarin yansimasinin 143 saniyedeki birikimi. Uzun poz muddetinden dolayi agaclar biraz da flu cikmis.

Photographie réalisée avec un appareil Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 6×9, doté d’un objectif Novar Anastigmat 10,5 cm f/6,3.
Prise de vue en multiple
Film utilisé : Ilford Pan 50 (film noir et blanc à grain fin, 50 ISO).
Développement : Kodak D76 (formule classique, dilution 1+1 ).
exposition et pose longue, puis numérisée via un Nikon D800E en macro, sur plaque lumineuse, et inversée numériquement.
Traitement effectué avec Nikon NX2._BAC7757
Start where you can. Use what you have. Do what you can. - For me, it's not about having the best, the newest camera/lens/equipment; it's about learning to use what I already have. I'm always pushing myself to challenge myself & trying new techniques. Only within the last year have I really started getting into photography & was looking for help/tips/advise online. So many have helped me thus far. I wish I had more time for this but for right now I'm taking baby steps. For me it's about quality over quantity.
