These set of pictures have been taken for my Specialist's Location brief at college.
Obviously these pictures aren't in order, which is really annoying on Flickr, but nevermind.
These pictures are from the Obesophobia phobia.
I quit my job and took a year off to travel South East Asia. Slowly and thoroughly, taking ground transport as much as possible, off the beaten track and traveling as the locals do, I visited 9 countries: From the Northern Highlands of Thailand, to the 7107 islands of the Philippines to magic Myanmar. Along the way I met great people, made new friends, discovered awesome places and experienced a whole lot of adventure. Hi.
I have recently heard that one of my contacts found some of his (especially high resolutioned) pics were stolen and sold as a postcard in his own country, or some other products in the US with somebody else's name(s). It is a sort of luck that he found it out (he was informed by his contacts!) otherwise he would not know anything but only his pics were out globally.
What do you think?
It's OLD and NEW and EVER-PRESENT problem in this Flickr world (I know it would not be in only the Flickr though) and the Flickr is the easiest platform for pic thieves.
Once you upload something in the webs, you should, maybe, prepare for the possibility that it could be stolen but it is really sad and discouraging. I would like to know if you are doing anything against it and what it is. Thanks in advance.
BTW the contact is now thinking to quit Flickr, or even, quit photography itself.

After all these years on flickr.com I actually got a photo of a flicker bird, and in my backyard! Central Phoenix, Arizona.
This is an old shot that I have never really been happy with my processing. Thought I'd give it another go. Still not sure. thoughts and opinions are always welcome.
This is a photograph from the second round of the Mullingar Road League which was held in Belvedere House and Gardens, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath, Ireland on Wednesday 14th May 2014 at 20:00. The race follows the roads and trails around Belvedere and is a very testing 5KM route. The race is promoted by Mullingar Harriers for the Pat Finnerty Memorial Cup. Competitors need to run 3 races out of the 4 races in May (any order) to be considered in the overall placing in categories at the conclusion of the league. Over 380 people took part in tonight's event. The weather was much improved on last week with warm and mild conditions for the race.

I ran in the race - but my photograph doesn't appear here in your Flickr set! What gives?
As mentioned above we take these photographs as a hobby and as a voluntary contribution to the running community in Ireland. Very often we have actually ran in the same race and then switched to photographer mode after we finished the race. Consequently, we feel that we have no obligations to capture a photograph of every participant in the race. However, we do try our very best to capture as many participants as possible. But this is sometimes not possible for a variety of reasons:
►You were hidden behind another participant as you passed our camera
►Weather or lighting conditions meant that we had some photographs with blurry content which we did not upload to our Flickr set
►There were too many people - some races attract thousands of participants and as amateur photographs we cannot hope to capture photographs of everyone
►We simply missed you - sorry about that - we did our best!
You can email us petermooney78 AT gmail DOT com to enquire if we have a photograph of you which didn't make the final Flickr selection for the race. But we cannot promise that there will be photograph there. I have copies of all my squircles on hard disks somewhere but they are not in any particular order. I decided to use Bulkr to download all my squircles from flickr to a hard disk. Very useful, as Bulkr can be configured to download individual Sets or a number of Sets. Bulkr uses the flickr Set name when creating folders/directories on the hard disk. After a few all nighters leaving Bulkr doing its work I had all 25,000 squircles sorted in 50 directories on my hard disk. I then copied the squircles from 5 sets to a single directory to give me 10 directories of 2,500 squircles. There were some clitches with the Bulkr download. Out of the 25,000 squircles about 20 were corrupted. These were easy to identify as no thumbnail was displayed and they were only 1KB in size. I tracked them down on flickr using the flickr set name, flickr title and flickr tags which Bulkr conveniently adds to each file and downloaded them again using Bulkr. The other quirky thing is that Photoshop stalled when file names had an "obscure" character e.g ♥ symbol
I made the mosaics using Adobe Photoshop and Bridge. With 2500 squircles in a directory I selected them all in Bridge and then used Tools > Photoshop > Contact Sheet II with the following settings:

Units: pixels
Width: 25000
Height: 25000
Resolution: 300 pixels/inch
Mode: RGB Color
uncheck Flatten All Layers
Thumbnails
Place: across first uncheck Use Auto-spacing
Columns: 50 Vertical: 0
Rows: 50 Horizontal: 0
uncheck Rotate For Best Fit
uncheck Use Filename As Caption
One hour later Photoshop produces the mosaic. Layer > Flatten Image. File >Save. Done. The original mosaics were too large* to upload to flickr so I resized them to 5000X5000 (average file size 16.5MB).
*125000X125000 so each squircle is 500X500. The average JPG file size is 220MB.
