Calanda celebró desde el viernes 21 al domingo 23 de marzo 2014, la XXIX Edición de las Jornadas Nacionales de Exaltación del Tambor y el Bombo. El pregonero fue el cantautor Luis Eduardo Aute
Estas jornadas se celebran cada año en uno de los 22 pueblos que conforman el Consorcio Nacional de los Pueblos del Tambor, integrado por localidades de cinco Comunidades Autónomas dónde la Semana Santa se centra en el toque del tambor y el bombo, y que son las siguientes: los nueve pueblos turolenses que a su vez constituyen la Ruta del Tambor y el Bombo --Albalate del Arzobispo, Alcañiz, Alcorisa, Andorra, Calanda, Híjar, La Puebla de Híjar, Samper de Calanda y Urrea de Gaén; la ciudad de Teruel, Valderrobres, Alagón y Fuentes de Ebro, también de Aragón; las localidades valencianas de L'Alcora y Alzira; Baena, de Andalucía; Moratalla, Jumilla y Mula, de la Región de Murcia; y Agramón, Hellín y Tobarra de Castilla-La Mancha.A la cita, cuyo principal objetivo es el hermanamiento entre las 22 localidades con una cultura común, se esperan más de 1.500 participantes que durante todo el fin de semana harán sonar sus tambores y bombos por todas las calles de la población.Desde el Ayuntamiento de Calanda se lleva más de un año trabajando en la organización de las Jornadas, que comenzarán esta tarde con el pregón de Luis Eduardo Aute.Luis Eduardo Aute guarda una estrecha relación con el pueblo de Calanda y ha colaborado en varias ocasiones con el Centro 'Luis Buñuel'. También ha dedicado la canción 'Allí (un perro Calandaluz)' a Buñuel y al pueblo de Calanda en su último trabajo 'Intemperie', CAPITAL DEL TAMBOR Y EL BOMBO. Calanda se convierte estos días en la capital del tambor y el bombo. El acto central de las Jornadas tendrá lugar el sábado por la noche, en el que, emulando el acto de Romper la Hora que todos los años se celebra en el mediodía de Viernes Santo en Calanda, los cientos de tamborileros convocados en la Plaza de España romperán el silencio haciendo tocar al unísono sus tambores y bombos, para dar lugar posteriormente a una larga noche de redobles.La Comarca del Bajo Aragón, la Diputación de Teruel y el Gobierno de Aragón colaboran económicamente en la celebración de las Jornadas y se prevé una importante repercusión económica en la localidad, sobre todo en el sector de la hostelería y restauración, así como en los comercios de la población.Las Jornadas de Calanda se celebran en el que puede ser el año más importante para el Consorcio de los Pueblos del Tambor desde su fundación, hace más de 30 años, ya que será el año en el que las tamborradas de los pueblos que lo integran obtengan el reconocimiento de Patrimonio Inmaterial de la Humanidad por parte de la UNESCO.

We celebrate light in our pictures. Understanding how light interacts with the camera is paramount to the work we do. The temperature, intensity and source of light can wield different photography effect on the same subject or scene; add ISO, aperture and speed, the camera, the lens type, focal length and filters…the combination is varied and multi-layered and if you know how to use them all, you will come to appreciate that all lights are useful, even those surrounded by a lot of darkness.
We are guided by three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, our longing to capture in print, that which is beautiful, the constant search for the one picture, and constant barrage of new equipment and style of photography. I think that AI image generation is similar in many ways to photography. The camera itself handles all the fine details, but the photographer is in charge of curating the types of images that will be created.
Ultimately, it is all about maximizing the probability that something good will be created.
This is very similar to AI image generation, in terms of the skills involved and what the human does vs. what the machine does.
You can't compare AI image generation to the process of actually making these images from scratch with 3D software or paint/pencils, where the human controls every detail.
However, I think the process really is very similar to that of photography, as I made the case for above. I think that DALL-E 3 is by far the most powerful AI image generation tool currently available.
