Das weitverbreitete Maiglöckchen (Convallaria majalis) (Schweiz: Maieriesli) ist heute die einzige Pflanzenart der monotypischen Gattung Convallaria in der Familie der Mäusedorngewächse (Ruscaceae). Der botanische Name setzt sich aus lateinisch: Convallaria für „in den Tälern vorkommend“ und lateinisch: majalis auf den Monat Mai bezogen, zusammen. Das Verbreitungsgebiet sind die gemäßigten Zonen Nordamerikas und Eurasiens, also die Holarktis.

At a very authentic Ramen place, under the railway tracks. With the staff getting into the Christmas spirit

Just added this to the "Flickr firsts" group as it's the very first photo I ever uploaded to Flickr. It was taken on a trip to Japan with my fiancee, the place where she was born and grew up. This is a shot of her favourite ramenya - a place she misses terribly when we're back living in London. I took the shot with the first digital camera I owned, a Pentax Optio I bought in Akihabara at the start of the trip. I liked the movement in this picture; together with the steam rising from the stock and noodles in the pots it brings the smell, sounds and speed of the place right back to me. And the fact that because it's Christmas, one of the guys is wearing reindeer antlers...

For FGR and I'm a poser

Today's FGR theme is a bit vague, not sure how to take it. So I thought i'd try to give it multiple explanations:

- Self love: I never really liked my tummy, thought it was to chubby. It still kinda is but even now with the marks of my pregnancy, I learned to love it, cause it's part of me.

- It's a naked tummy...there ya go with the nakedness ;)
