Sizerin Flammé / Common Redpoll

Yay!!!! I finally have Flickr time!!!

Earlier I left the house with a friend to visit a mutual friend for coffee and a haircut. It was cold but I only needed my coat to go in the car.

When it was time to go, I suddenly decided it would be a great opportunity to get a lift into town, get a few things and walk back. It had already started snowing for the first time here this winter but it has continued to get deeper and deeper...

I wish I had worn more than a t shirt under my coat and taken some gloves and a hat!!

Decided I'd share a selfie with you all, cuz it's been a while. =)

And lucky you; you get one with no makeup. Apologies.

Admittedly, this one is Better On Black

Also already know what I'm doing for tomorrow's 365.

It's a part of this picture; can you tell what it is?

(You'll have to have been paying attention to my stream a while to be able to figure it out!)

Posted (with the permission of Bury Gardener) to show cropping on the signed-in home page. Not only is the main photo reduced to absurdity; the subject of one of the thumbnails on the left has been decapitated too. Needless to say, the original photographs are perfectly well composed - see below.

He enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts to study sculpture under Alajos Strobl. At this time he met his wife, Ilona Komocsin (1885-1974), who became a notable painter after finishing her studies in Szeged. During World War I as a soldier he was appointed as an official war artist in Sarajevo for which he received the Order of Franz Josef. He taught at the Academy of Fine Arts (1911-46) and at the Technical University (1921-44). He was rector of the Academy between 1943 and 1945.
